The Ultimate Elbow 1-Day Course
Saturday September 1, 2018
CEU’s applied for
Early Bird: R1800 (Before 15 August 2018)
Elbow pain and dysfunction is rarely taught either at undergraduate or post graduate level, yet commonly presents in our practices.
This 3-joint complex, and it co-dependence on structures proximal and distal to it, often mystifies the practitioner, and outcomes to management frequently frustrate both the practitioner as well as the patient.
This 1-day course aims to settle uncertainties by examining the multistructural complexity of the elbow joint, as well as its co-relationship with the rest of the upper quadrant, in particular, the shoulder, cervical and thoracic spine.
Included in this course is a necessary in-depth description of clinical applied anatomy & kinematics, encompassing the articular, fascial & neural co-dependencies.
There will be practical sessions to teach helpful assessment techniques and tools to both find the primary source of the patients’ symptoms as well as move onto effective treatment & rehabilitation.
Treatment techniques aim to target the multistructural nature of most persistent elbow pain.
Finally, rehabilitation programs are discussed for various elbow related pathologies such as tendinopathies, the stiff elbow and the throwing elbow.
It is recommended that course participants revise the clinical anatomy of the elbow joint.
